Join Our Mission

Pheiron discovers and develops tomorrow’s therapeutics using AI and human genetics. Our world-class team builds on decades of experience in epidemiology, genetics, and machine learning. Your work will have a direct impact on advancing novel therapeutics and improving patients’ lives.

At Pheiron, we put humans first. Instead of trying to understand human biology from animal studies, we use AI to integrate genetic and multi-omic data of millions of real people. We believe in a future where drug development starts and ends in humans.

To get there, we develop cutting edge AI algorithms integrating multi-modal data and leverage natural genetic experiments to draw actionable insights from large human datasets. This allows us to pinpoint biological mechanisms, identify and prioritize novel drug targets and build powerful patient stratification biomarkers.

The nature of our work is complex and the challenges immense. If like us, you are driven by the ambition of solving complex problems to advance things that truly matter, join us!

Your Impact

In this role, you will work directly alongside our founders, gaining front row action and learning on building a deeptech venture-backed business. You will collaborate with an incredibly multidisciplinary team and have the freedom to shape critical initiatives that push our mission forward. These are the areas where we believe you will make the greatest impact on our mission:

  • Business development: You will be an integral part of all business development ops spanning sales and customer success.
  • Finance: Explore non-dilutive funding options such as grants, loans, and R&D tax credits.
  • Legal: Support on commercial contracts, NDAs, and other legal documentation.
  • Collateral and Assets: Craft and disseminate communications highlighting our work and impact to build an engaged audience. Work with the team to manage company LinkedIn and social media platforms, spreading our vision and cultivating a community around our mission.
  • Special Projects: Partner with founders on special ops to build the company for short and long-term success.

What We Offer

  • An opportunity to work in the intersection of technology and life sciences, in the emerging area of AI-driven drug development.
  • Opportunities for growth and development as we expand and scale our impact: we see this as a stepping stone role for even larger responsibilities at Pheiron after this internship.
  • Collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Highly competitive salary (commensurate with experience).
  • Amazing colleagues who are also world class at teaching and sharing their professional craft (your learning will be exponential).
  • Regular social events that enhance team building and a fun company culture that values multidimensional human beings at work.

What We Are Looking For

  • Accustomed to learning quickly, working diligently, and thinking analytically.
  • Ability to operate effectively with high degrees of ambiguity and uncertainty, and to execute tasks independently and against tight timelines.
  • Results-driven, highly reliable, and eager to invent and streamline current processes and practices.
  • Education in STEM, life sciences, medicine, computational biology is a plus.
  • Experience in investment banking, biotech equity research, venture capital or management consulting is a plus as well.
  • If you have worked in startups before, great, if not but eager to crossover - great too.
  • 3-6 months commitment.
